News just in indicates that the Westgate Mall siege is over after Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) took control of the building by killing all the terrorists and rescuing the remaining hostages.
Multiple sources said the Kenya Defence Forces are currently moving out of the building after mopping it out in the early hours of the day.
A total of six terrorists have been killed and the number is expected to rise as forensic experts search for more terrorists’ bodies, who were slaughtered after a 4-hour heavy gun battle on Tuesday morning.
The building is currently being secured by General Service Unit (GSU). A total of 70 people have died and hundreds injured following Saturday’s terror attack on the mall.
Police have asked Kenyans who had abandoned their vehicles at an adjacent mall that houses Nakumatt Ukay to go for them as security clears the building.
